Welcome to my website! I'm so happy your here. I'm a young equestrian professional passionate of diversity, equity, and inclusion in our industry. So everything I do is to help equestrians of color confidently navigate the equestrian world. I've had to figure it out on my own, but I want that to end with me. Equestrians who foster community and encourage each others goals : That's my dream.
All About Me
My name is Tameka Kayla Claiborne and I have been an avid horse-lover for as long as I can remember. I guess I’d have to be if it was the third word I ever spoke. As a woman of color lifelong equestrian, I have seen a chasm in the equine community that I adore. Growing up I never saw riders who looked like me. So, I decided to become what I needed. This blog is meant to be a safe space for all people with a passion for the outdoors, animals, and the equestrian lifestyle in all its forms. A place where social injustices are discussed, pronouns are respected, love is love, and above all, a haven for riders of all backgrounds. I will be chronicling my equestrian experiences past and present. Hopefully, seeing how I navigate this life can help inspire others to do the same. Don’t let anyone tell you this life wasn’t meant for you.
