Sleek Design + Horse people = Botori

My equestrian wardrobe is very thin at the moment. I’ve ridden in the same riding 3 tights and shirts since high school. Riding gear and apparel can be pretty expensive, so I’ve learned to make due. Since getting back in the saddle, my current clothes don’t exactly fit the same. They’ve stretched as much as they can at this point. It’s made me realize my dire need for some new stuff.

So, I copped a pair of belts and riding socks from the Botori Equestrian Company, and I thought I’d give my review on them. I’ll include the prices, shipping, and my general opinion as well. All my opinions are my own and I was not sponsored by Botori. I bought everything myself.

The Cost:

I was in desperate need of some more riding socks as I have a total of two right now that I rotate very frequently. And while these aren’t the most affordable apparel items, I decided to splurge as a gift to myself for getting back into riding professionally. I got the Beau-tori Boot Socks in white and sage for $17 each. Next, I got their Slide Belt in Black and light gray for $30.00 even. My total price came to be $102 (8 for shipping).

The Shipping:

I order from Botori on May 19th and received my package pretty quickly. I think it was about 3-4 days afterwards that it arrived. I didn’t pay anything extra to have it expedited. I absolutely loved that I didn’t have to wait a week plus just to receive my new gear.

The Wear:

I tend to stay away from very obvious “horse-y” apparel as it has never really been my style. That was one of the main reasons for getting the belts. I love their sleek design and the lack of a bulky buckle. The belts are fully adjustable. So, I believe that riders of all sizes can customize how tight (or loose) they want it. However, I am not sure on the lifespan of these belts as they are made of mostly stretchy material. I have worn both of them riding, and didn’t find any major faults in either or them. I did notice once that my light grey belt started to slide up from its loop after a ride. So, keep that in mind.

The socks are pretty cute and I enjoy their design. But, I absolutely love the colors. They are breathable and lightweight. I will say that when I put them on, they seemed a bit thin and the colors became opaque. For the summer, I don’t necessarily mind. But I don’t see these being socks I’d use for the wintertime.

Overall:

This was a great purchase for me. I love when I can find riding gear that matches my style and is very sleek in design. I wouldn’t call these the most affordable items, but I do believe that they are worth the buy. The designs are lovely and the colors are great. I just wish they were a little bolder so that when wearing, the brightness doesn’t get distorted.

I do plan on finding more affordable riding gear, so stay tuned for that as well.

As always, Happy riding!

Love, Tameka
